Pooja holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Georgia, where she was a  cum laude graduate and Zell Miller Scholarship recipient. She received her master’s degree in physician studies from Mercer University’s Physician Assistant Program in Atlanta.

Previously, she served as a certified medical assistant for Arthritis and Rheumatology of Georgia in Atlanta and as a personal care assistant in Athens, Ga. In addition, she has served as a medical volunteer for the Migrant Farmworkers Project and The Grace Village in Valdosta and Clarkston, Ga., respectively.

Pooja is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants  (AAPA) and the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants  (GAPA). She holds certifications in basic life support and advanced cardiac life support.

She joined Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates in 2022.
