Kristen holds a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota, and a Master of Science in nursing from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois.

During her career, she has served as a nurse practitioner in gastroenterology for Palmetto Gastro and Hepatology in Aiken, S.C., and, most recently, for Gastroenterology Consultants of Augusta in Evans, Georgia. She previously served as a nurse practitioner in cardiology for WakeMed Physician Practices in Raleigh, N.C., and Covenant Clinic Cardiology in Waterloo, Iowa. Kristen also has experience as a nurse practitioner in both emergency medicine and family medicine.

She holds a certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and is certified in both basic life support and advanced cardiac life support. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, Honor Society of Nursing.

Kristen joined The Center for Digestive & Liver Health in 2022.
