Dr. Nesmith received his B.S. in biology from the University of South Florida in Tampa and received his medical degree from the University of South Florida School of Medicine. He completed both his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in gastroenterology at the Emory University School of Medicine, where he served as Chief Fellow in gastroenterology.
He has made several presentations at conferences for the American College of Gastroenterology and during Digestive Disease Week, and has co-authored research on screening colonoscopies and the liver. Dr. Nesmith joined Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates in 2008.
