Ashton is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in biology. She received a Master of Health Science in physician assistant studies from South College in Atlanta, where she also served as the class representative to the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA).

She holds certifications in basic and advanced cardiac life support and most recently served as a physician assistant for Medlife Primary and Urgent Care in Conyers, Ga.

Ashton joined Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates in 2024.
