Alex is a graduate of The University of South Carolina where she received her bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in chemistry. In addition, she is a graduate of Augusta University, where she earned her Master of Physician Assistant degree.

Most recently, Alex worked as an operating room specialty technician for the Memorial Health Medical Center in Savannah, Ga. Prior to Memorial, Alex served as a procedure room assistant at the Savannah Vascular and Cardiac Institute Procedure Room. She has also served as a volunteer for both Clinica Latina and the Equality Clinic which provide free healthcare for underserved Hispanic and LGBTQ populations, respectively, in and around Augusta, GA.

Alex is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). In addition, she holds certifications in both basic and advanced cardiac life support from the American Red Cross.

Alex joined the Center for Digestive & Liver Health in 2021.
