Francisco is a compassionate and dedicated certified family nurse practitioner with a strong commitment to preventive care and patient education. He holds a Master of Science in nursing from Miami Regional University, where he also earned his Registered Nurse credentials. Additionally, Francisco completed his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Havana in Cuba, specializing in general medicine with a focus on surgery. 

 With a diverse background spanning clinical, administrative, and community health roles, Francisco brings a wealth of experience to his work. He has provided patient care in a variety of settings, including hospitals, correctional facilities, and community health organizations. Most recently, he served as a nurse practitioner at Lee County Jail in Fort Myers, where he performed comprehensive assessments, developed treatment plans, and provided counseling and healthcare education. In previous roles, including as a registered nurse at Southern Winds Hospital, Francisco focused on acute care and patient advocacy, always emphasizing the importance of patient empowerment through education and support. His earlier experience as a social worker at Citrus Health Network also reinforced his dedication to mental health and community integration. 

Francisco is bilingual in Spanish and English and holds certification in basic life support. He joined Gastroenterology Associates of Southwest Florida in 2024.

When I'm not practicing medicine, you can find me spending time with family and friends.

Gastroenterologists get to do a little bit of everything, including hands-on procedural work, consulting with patients, and providing long-term care.
