Heather holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Georgia in Athens. She received her master’s degree in physician assistant studies at South University in Savannah. Heather began her healthcare career as an emergency medical technician in San Diego, California. After completing clinical rotations in a number of roles, including psychiatric, cardiology, and general surgery practices, she joined the Cancer Treatment Center of America as a physician assistant in gastroenterology. Most recently, she served as a physician assistant at Rush University’s hematology and oncology department in Chicago where she was a primary provider for patients with both acute illnesses and chronic diseases.
Board certified by the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Heather is also a certified nurses’ aide. In addition, she holds certifications in basic and advanced cardiac life support.
