At the Southeastern Center for Crohn’s & Colitis, we focus on the patient’s overall health. Our board-certified gastroenterologists understand that treating and managing chronic autoimmune diseases – like IBD – require more than just a “one-size-fits-all” solution. We offer personalized, ongoing care for patients suffering from all types of IBD, most commonly Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
IBD can also manifest itself in a variety of ways – skin and joint conditions being most common. Our physicians collaborate with area specialists in order to provide patients a comprehensive approach to their overall care. We partner with rheumatologists, dermatologists, psychiatrists, colorectal surgeons, and more to give patients the level of care they deserve.
While Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are chronic and there is no cure, our goal is to find a treatment option that best controls the disease and symptoms and allows for the intestines to heal. Once the disease is under control, we will modify or continue the treatment to maintain remission and decrease the frequency of flare-ups.
Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates is a proud supporter of the Georgia Chapter of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. We encourage our patients to check out the great work they’re doing to strengthen the IBD community. They offer a wide variety of resources for all ages.
